NYMPC to continue servicing all New York City homeless shelters for another 5 years

Freeport, NY –New York Merchants Protective Co. announced today that it has renewed its fire alarm monitoring contract with the New York City Department of Homeless Services.

Under the renewed contract, NYMPC will continue monitoring all of the city’s homeless shelters for the next five years.

NYMPC will be the sole provider of fire alarm monitoring for all shelters operated by the NYC Department of Homeless Services in each of the five city boroughs. As of September 27, 2007, DHS reported sheltering more than 35,000 individuals, which includes single adults, families and children.

In addition to operating the world’s most comprehensive shelter services system for single adults, DHS also oversees four intake centers and nine drop-in centers across the city.

The agreement renewal with DHS is a testament to the excellent services provided by NYMPC’s fast-growing database of fire monitoring accounts.
