Local Fire Alarm Specialist Company awarded contract for New York State Veterans Home. New York Merchants Protective Company, Inc. of Freeport, NY was selected yesterday to provide the Fire Alarm Protection for the State Veterans facility.

New York Merchants Protective Company, in business since 1910 is a private, family run operation with a prominent position in the New York metropolitan market. The company enjoys a reputation for excellence and customer service that affords the company the ability to work on this type of contract. New York Merchants Protective Co., Inc operates it own UL listed “AA” central monitoring center and is one of only a few of FDNY approved companies allowed to monitor fire alarm systems within the borders of New York City.

After an extensive investigation by the New York State Departments of Health, New York Merchants Protective Co., Inc. was chosen as the sole provider for the Fire Alarm Protection at the 250 bed facility. It should be noted that this in not the first such contract for New York Merchants. The company provides service for most City, State and Federal agencies and is the contractor of choice when service and reliability is the prime concern.

About the Veterans Facility:

The New York State Veterans' Home at St. Albans is a healthcare facility owned and operated by the New York State Department of Health for Veterans' and their dependents. They are located in Jamaica NY, about 13 miles from New York City. They operate a 250-bed facility and have been serving the Veterans' and their dependents of the New York City region since 1993.
