New York Merchants Protective Co., Inc. to provide services for 10th largest mall in the United States Simon Property Group has chosen NYMPC to provide CCTV and Code Blue Emergency Call Box operation at Roosevelt Field Mall

Freeport, NY – New York Merchants Protective Co., Inc. announced today it has been selected by mall owner/operator Simon Property Group to provide comprehensive services at Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, New York.

Under the agreement, NYMPC will provide service for the malls Closed Circuit Television Systems and the Code Blue Emergency call boxes at Roosevelt Field, the 10th largest mall in the United States.

Just beyond the boundaries of New York City, Roosevelt Field Mall is the largest mall in the State of New York. The site is home to 270 stores, including national retail anchor stores Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, JC Penny, Nordstrom and Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Centralized security operations of both the CCTV and the Code Blue Emergency box system allows mall security personnel to respond to emergencies reported from any of the call boxes throughout the parking garage and mall property at Roosevelt Field.

“Just the presence of a Code Blue Emergency System alone has been proven to make any location safer and more secure,” says Wahrsager. “Our job is to see that the systems are fully operational with the least amount of down time so that the mall’s security responders are able to act fast and make decisions quickly in an emergency.”

Also providing CCTV services throughout the mall’s 2 million square feet of retail space. With CCTV cameras in place throughout the property, mall security personnel will have a significant advantage over crowd control, robbery or theft. CCTV systems also have been shown to deter these crimes, while giving mall security personnel greater flexibility to monitor more locations at once, and to quickly identify potentially dangerous activity.
